This picture shows books with scenery inlaid on the spines. These are travel books published at the beginning of the 20th century, when rich Englishmen and women travelled all over the world. They are extensively illustrated with wonderful watercolor or oil paintings. They were published by Adam & Charles Black and J. M. Dent in England between 1900 and 1920. None of them are signed, so the names of these talented binders remain unfortunately unknown.
